Dictatorship in the workplace
This is a sketchy note.
Workplace dictatorship is when the owner has the right to tell the worker what to do.
~ Wright’s book “how to be an anti-capitalist in the 21st century” (2019)
I find it fascinating to contemplate the different weight that is put on political dictatorship vs. workplace dictatorship. Our laws should be democratically created, yet the rules that employers can impose on workers are not democratically created within traditional companies. Neither are educational institutions run with democratic decision making processes

Educational Places
My perspective is that workplace dictatorship also happens in educational institutions when students need to do what what they are told by the authority. Besides the intentional enrollment of students (which is really not a choice considering the consequences of having no education) there is no presence of consent when it comes to the workload experienced by students.
